Smart Transit & Payment Systems Committee

The Smart Transit & Payment Systems Committee of the Korea-U.S. Industrial Cooperation Association (KUICA) provides a dedicated platform for advancing public transportation payment technologies and smart transit infrastructure. Unlike the Mobility Committee, which focuses on autonomous vehicles, EVs, and shared mobility solutions, this committee concentrates specifically on mass transit systems and fare collection innovations.

The committee facilitates partnerships between government agencies, transit operators, and private companies to develop contactless fare systems, mobile ticketing, real-time passenger information, and integrated urban transit platforms. It also addresses challenges such as interoperability, cybersecurity in transit payments, and operational efficiency.
